Antique c. Late 19th Century Korean Celadon Stick Vase with Ring Handles Goryeo
This listing is for an antique Korean celadon glazed stick vase based on a 12th Century Goryeo Dynasty design type. This particular vase was more likely made in the late 19th to early 20th century. The vase is just under 11 inches tall. It weighs 1 pound, 4 ounces.The vase was owned by an elderly Korean man with a keen interest in pottery, and currently (2025) living in the United States. He had made several studio pottery pieces himself. He had a collection of antique Chinese, Korean, and Japanese pieces dating back as far as the Song Dynasty. He may have held the pieces for study.One of the ring handles has broken off and is missing. There is also what appears to be a surface chip near the broken ring, however upon close inspection the area with the chip is slightly raised and it appears to have possibly been a bump that was ground down, as opposed to a chip.
